Don’t you think that gray text is a bit hard on the eyes?

once you roll your mouse over that general area, all of the grey links turn to black. may be a bit unnecessary but i personally don’t mind.

thanks for the update!

As iblastoff mentions mouse over and opacity is reset. The idea is pull away the attention. I tested that on a variety of monitors and it worked fine.

I have a release candidate of Sandspace for Textpattern 4.3.0. View a screenshot.

Download link.

Browser compatibility: more or less optimised for Gecko 1.9.2 (Firefox 3.6) and Safari 5, Chrome 6, and Mobile Safari (iOS 3.2+), WebKit for Android; it works well with Opera 10.5+, Gecko 1.9.0+, Safari 4+. IE 8, 9, and even 7 are supported.

Re: [phw_sandSpace], an admin theme for TXP CMS 4.7, 4.8 and 4.9-dev

Hi Philippe

Nice update. Thanks!

The following may be only my experience, but just in case – fwiw. . . .

A question:

  • is the expected outcome in the footer for the textpatternversion to be off to right significantly?

A couple of observations:

  • it doesn’t seem to be playing nice with w/ smd_admin_themes.
    • smd_admin_themes won’t accept the v3.0rc in the name (in particular it gives the “.0rc”
    • smd_admin_themes won’t accept the file structure with the read me and the main directory co-located
    • smd_admin_themes doesn’t want to accept sandSpace even when altered to the desired directory level and re-zipped
    • It may have been just my set up, but I had to change several permissions from 644 t0 755

My solution:

I finally created a new theme in smd_admin_themes, based off of “classic”, then uploaded your graphics, js, css, and php, deleted the classic php and css. Everything worked then. I haven’t yet figured out what was making smd_admin_themes unhappy.

( oh -and also fwiw – I added your screen shot, and changed the TXP-15-B to lowercase for case consistency, along w/ the appropriate changes in the css.)

Thanks again

Mike

it has 'text-align:right', it should be on the right side of the window, yes. If it is out of the window, or somewhere else – which browser did you use ?

Hmm, I think I’ll need to investigate that one. Thanks the pointer. On the todo list for the WE.

Oops – sorry – I missed that in the css. the version number was at the far right, but not out of the window. I often run my browser window almost full width on the screen (wide screen). So it looked (to my eye) a bit too far right. But that’s just one person’s perspective.

It appears to be presenting as it should be. Oh and for full disclosure I primarily use Safari for Mac.

I like how spacious the new layout on the write tab feels. Nice change, imho.

Thanks again.
