4.2.0 clean install bug ^h^h^h^h annoyance
Hi,
I did a series of quick clean installs of 4.2.0 on a cleanly installed XAMPP in windows (I use it in class and was showing my students how easy it was to install)…
In every install, the first time I try to log in to the interface (right after creating the administrative user), I find a blank page with only the Textpattern Logo and the message “Logged in as user” and the Logout link…
If I logout and then log back in, everything is fine…
Today I did a clean install of 4.2.0 on my linux box and the result was just the same…
It’d be nice for this to be fixed by the next release.

I experienced the same thing when performing a clean multi-site installation and assumed it was associated with that. Are you doing multi-site or single-site installs?
BTW, for me a simple page refresh fixed it – no need to log out/in.

Well, don’t we all get blank first logon. More likely it seems that it happens to everyone of us, and is unrelated to multi-site install. Haven’t seen a clean 4.2.0 install which doesn’t get blank first logon, nor update that doesn’t get after errors ;)

Yeah… mine was a plain single-site install…
