Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
For 4.0.8 you need mlp-0.9.11-gp-1138.zip, which can be downloaded from TXP Forge.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
I’ve tried to use the following, but the active class doesn’t get used.
<txp:section_list default_title='<txp:text item="home" />' include_default="1" wraptag="ul" break="li" sections="about,activities,news,contact" active_class="selected">
Same goes for txp:category_list.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Anyone using some of those category plugins with MLP? I’d like to list news categories which have some content, not empty ones. As with normal category list this is not possible, I tried cbs_category list. Works well until you notice you can’t set title=“1” attribute. So it doesn’t use translated category names…
If anyone is having a working solution already, it would be very nice to hear.
Edit. Just after calling Bloke to help with smd_if, I found a solution here
This is the code to output only active categories with translated titles:
<txp:category_list wraptag="ul" break="li">
<txp:variable name="hasarticles" value='<txp:article_custom category=''<txp:category />'' section="sectionyouwant" limit="1" />' />
<txp:if_variable name="hasarticles" value="">
<txp:else />
<txp:category title="1" link="1" />
</txp:if_variable>
</txp:category_list>

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
LetterHoofd, are you using the section_list tag as a container tag? If so, can you post the entire container with it’s content? (If not, you didn’t close it properly: />.)

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Els, I used it as a container tag.
<txp:section_list default_title='<txp:text item="home" />' include_default="1" wraptag="ul" break="li" sections="about,activities,news,contact" active_class="selected">
<txp:section link="1" title="1" />
</txp:section_list>

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
You’re right, I can’t get it to work either when section_list is used as a container tag. This however works:
<txp:section_list default_title='<txp:text item="home" />' include_default="1" wraptag="ul" break="li" sections="about,activities,news,contact" active_class="selected" />
Or this:
<txp:section_list default_title='<txp:text item="home" />' include_default="1" wraptag="ul" break="" sections="about,activities,news,contact">
<li<txp:if_section name='<txp:section />'> class="selected"</txp:if_section>><txp:section link="1" title="1" /></li>
</txp:section_list>
Hmm… bug?
Edit: apparently not a bug. I found a thread mentioning the same behaviour of category_list here.

This is by design, based on the idea that you totally want to create your own markup when you use either section_list or category_list as a container (or with a form attribute, for the sake of completeness).

Thanks for the clarification, Robert. I added it to the Textbook tag pages.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Strange comment display bug. I think this has something to do with MLP: Maybe someone could check if same happens to you too:
I have moderation on. When I open a comment to read it, and use the drop-down under comment to make it visible this happens: recent comments shows the article has been commented. But when looking the article itself, no new comments are visible.
If I instead mark the comment visible on the comments list (with checkboxes), it really comes visible.
I studied the article table for that particular language. When aproving comment from comment-read page, the comment count doesn’t increase. If I mark it visible in the list, the comment count column is updated.

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Anyone else noticing these issues with 4.2.0 I added here?
- in content > categories: category titles are only displayed in the site’s primary language, no matter which other language is active on the admin side (primary language = the one that comes first in the ‘Languages’ field in MLP > Preferences)
- in content > files: the category dropdown only shows the category titles in the primary language

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Els, I am having exactly the same problems that you mentioned with Categories and Content. Also same problem with Section names. :(
Any chance the bugs will be fixed soon?

What exactly do you mean? Section names only exist in one language. And contrary to the category dropdowns that display the category titles, the section dropdown displays – and has always displayed – the section names (also in MLP-less installs).
I found another problem with section titles though. In Presentation > Sections: if the first section title field contains an ampersand (&), the title fields for all other languages disappear. It doesn’t happen when there is one in one of the other title fields, but not in the first one. And this happens in 0.9.11-gp/4.0.8 as well as in 0.9.12-gp/4.2.0.
Edit: doh! Already posted, already reported. I need a memory expansion…

Re: MLP - The Multi-Lingual Publishing Pack
Hi Els.
I am sorry if I was not clear enough. I have never worked with this plugin before.
Please see this screenshot for what I mean. Basically If i try to change “About” to its german or romanian equivalent and click save, it won’t let me. Am I supposed to be able to edit this? Can it be done another way?
Thanks.
