Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_Upload Version 3
I get the same result on a Mosso hosted site:
File to Large: Not added to queue
when I try to upload a 3.2 MB sized file via the plug-in interface. This despite changing the TXP preference to 5MB and also successfully amending the local php.ini setting to 50M from the 2M default setting ( as witnessed by phpino() ).

Thanks for testing, Joe.
I think at this point it’s safe to say, that it can’t be a server-side issue, also since Textpattern uploads larger files sucessfully.
Out of curiosity I tried lowering the maximum size in the prefs to 1MB. When selecting a 1.9MB file ebl_upload did not complain it was exceeding the limit. It even finished the upload without probs.
?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_Upload Version 3
Hi Eric,
just wondering whether you had a chance to look into this.
No problem at the moment, but I might want to purchase another license to install on a client’s side, and it would be good if we could get to the root of the issue.

Send me logon info for the site(s) in question and I’ll see if I can get it fixed. I’m curious why this is.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_Upload Version 3
BTW, it would be helpful if you could opt out of your plugin for files. I just need it for pictures. I commented out the lines that add your interface to the files tab and it works. Though I only know a little, I’m reckless enough to try anything. This time, I think I got lucky. :-)

I’m having this problem. I see the problem was resolved but I don’t see a post about the solution.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_Upload Version 3
Sorry. I’ve been swamped with various different client work and haven’t had to time to release an updated version of this plugin that fixes a nagging bug. What you should do is go into preferences, and where you see ebl_valid_img_type you’ll also see the following file types. gif, bmp, jpg, png, add the following to it : GIF,BMP,JPG,PNG
The problem is the accepted file types are case sensitive. Dumb bug, but I’ll try to get around to fixing it sometime this week time permitting.

Easy enough. Thanks!

I’m getting this error in TXP 4.0.8 >

… after hitting ‘Upload’ … !?
It has probably to do with the URL thing and the related license … I did put a mail in your inbox, TheEric!

Redfox. Have you added the htaccess fix?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_Upload Version 3
I am also having RedFox’s problem. My image is only 96k, but I tried adding these lines to my htaccess anyway (I hope this is the right “htaccess fix” you are referring to?):
php_value upload_max_filesize 20M
php_value post_max_size 20M
php_value max_execution_time 200
php_value max_input_time 200
Adding them caused the server to return a 500 error. A few stats about my server (with godaddy):
PHP version: 5.2.8
GD Image Library: version bundled (2.0.34 compatible), supported formats: GIF, JPG, PNG
Server Local Time: 2009-08-23 06:02:52
MySQL: 5.0.67.d7-ourdelta-log
Locale: en_US.UTF-8
Server: Apache
PHP Server API: cgi-fcgi
RFC 2616 headers: 0
Any help appreciated!

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_Upload Version 3
Did you add the included (in the archive) htaccess code to your existing htaccess file? That fixes about 90% of all upload errors. If it doesn’t, it’s a host issue that I can attempt to fix for you if I have a logon to the site in question.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_Upload Version 3
Aha! Because I’m on a Mac, the .htaccess file beginning with a dot was invisible, so I didn’t even know it was there. Weirdly, the plugin seems to be working now though I did not apply the fix. I will see what happens when I move it out of the testing directory. Thanks for your help Eric!
It might be helpful to list the contents of the ebl_upload archive in a readme.txt article or something…or in the help screen for the plugin.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_Upload Version 3
Okay, even weirder, now that I have moved it out of the testing directory, the plugin is no longer working. Again I see the error “Error – [ Error #2049 ]” and I have applied the htaccess fix. I have also double-checked the serial number. Eric, if you’re willing to take a look, I can email you a login.
Thanks.
