From memory the only other reason for not being able to connect to Flickr is because your vdh_flickr tag has the wrong id in it.

Ok in my article i have <txp:vdh_flickr nsid=“40973317@N05” />
inside the plugin
*global $nsid;
// $nsid = ’40973317@N05’;*
Nothing happen. Before i left the nsid by default and nothing happen.

Try putting the tag in your page instead and see what happens. You should also restart PHP if you can – like so:
"Changes made to your PHP configuration will not take effect until your local PHP process is restarted, which occurs after 2 minutes of inactivity. If you are impatient or receive heavy traffic to your site, you will want to manually restart PHP by logging into your account via SSH and executing pkill php."Last edited by jstubbs (2009-08-20 18:05:51)

Ok, now i can see a thumbail with this code <txp:vdh_flickr nsid=“40973317@N05” set=“3839800000” />
When i clic on the photo to see large i have this error Failed to connect to flickr.com!

On page 70 of this thread mrtunes outlines the same error as you, and that he also had allow_url_open set to On. He says its a web host problem. I think you should contact support on your webhost with details of the error message. I am sure they can fix it.

Hello, this is the answer from my webhost:
While troubleshooting this support request I read over the forum.textpattern.com posts regarding this error. I double checked the php.ini file to verify that the “allow_url_open = On” command had been added to the file and saved. Everything appeared normal and should have been connecting correctly. I then connected to the server using a SSH client and ran some tests to try to connect to flickr.com. I was able to access flickr.com in this manner but could not determine what was causing the failed connection message. Have you checked with flickr.com to make sure that the application has permission to access the files?

Well that’s good news – your host is able to connect. Did you check your site again? Sometimes Flickr goes down for a while then comes back up. Also worth checking if you can connect to someone else’s images – try a different ID number.

I try with my id. I can see the thumbail of the set and the number of photos like the another id, but when i want to see de gallery i have this error.

That is realy extrange, because i remove the set from the code and i can see the gallery. I can see the thumb and the large photo with title, tags, comments, etc.
So the problem is the set, the thing is that i need the sets hahaha.

Something is happening and i don´t understand. If you go http://www.ministeriovcn.com/galeria/ you can see all, is with out the set number only my flickr id <txp:vdh_flickr nsid=“40973317@N05” />. Now if you go inside the gallery you have this: Generación Excelente . verano 2009, 1 Photos » Show as slideshow in new window. and the thumb for the gallery, if you clic in the thumb y can see in large the photo, so if you see the url path you can see that http://www.ministeriovcn.com/galeria/?set=72157622094767308.
When i put thi in my code <txp:vdh_flickr nsid=“40973317@N05” set=“72157622094767308” /> i have the error, WHAT!
