plugin for extra field similar to excerpt
I’m already using the excerpt section for other content. Is there a plugin that will add an extra field that is user-friendly enough for me to input about 1 or 2 paragraphs of text?
I don’t see using a 1-row customized field for this as that isn’t user friendly enough (ie; won’t allow me to see what I’m typing)

I believe glz_custom_fields lets you add different types of custom fields. I don’t know if textarea is one of them.
Piwik Dashboard, Google Analytics Dashboard, Minibar, Article Image Colorpicker, Admin Datepicker, Admin Google Map, Admin Colorpicker

that won’t work…used it for a previous project.
It doesn’t allow for that big of a box that i need.

Hey dreamer, check the first glz_custom_fields post, textarea custom fields are definitely supported (shown in the screenshots).
