Something i have been meaning to ask for a long time…
Under the tab DB Manager this is a column called “Overhead”, which gradually gets full up of red color numbers. Normally red is not good right?
1. what is it
2. why does it occur
3. do i need to repair it
4. what happens if i don’t
I think, therefore I AM, … … er … I think :-?

Try this.
Things will eventually get slower (more inefficient) in MySQL as it has to deal with all the wasted space that accumulates. If you don’t add/delete/edit many rows (i.e. write/edit a lot or articles or have a lot of comments added) I don’t think it will bother your Txp install for a fair while. On the other hand, a busy community site with a lot of posting by users will probably need regular cleanup work.

Unfortunately, none of the above are working for me – just the old 127 error – I’m getting the same on my machine under MAMP and on the live server. Anyone got any ideas?

Okay in 4.0.8 Stuck on the 127 error on the .sql file again. The gzipped file gets created, and is on all the sites i’ve tested 20kb. Which made me wonder….
Once you download and unzip that gzipped file it is empty. So actually I wasn’t making any backups….
Looked in the MySQL manual which stated
“MySQL error code 127 = Record-file is crashed”
Fixed all the tables and that still did not do the trick. Can’t figure out what seems to be the problem.

Funny db manager not working for me in .8, i get the restricted area screen of death in the extensions tab. Using the latest version of the plug in and all.
Is it just me?
its a bad hen that wont scratch itself.

Did you look under “Extensions”?
Ah, there’s another possible issue. I think this has been discussed earlier and the problem was that if you are on the Admin>Plugins tab, the Extensions tab will not appear. If you click out of Plugins, it will appear.

Yeah, that was the first place I looked and not there. The plugin is already activated but can’t find the tabs.

I’ve installed the plug-in but the so-called tabs that are suppose to appear in my Admin panel are not appearing. I have the plug-in turned on. I’m working from local host.
