[textile] Latest version of Textile 2.0.0?

I am writing a Textile extension for PunBB 3.1.4 and am using what I think is the latest version of the textile class library (i.e. classTextile.php from the Textpattern 4.0.8 distribution). However, when I go to what appears to be an “official” Textile download site (i.e. http://textile.thresholdstate.com/, the download from there has the same version number (2.0.0) but is older, and has quite a few differences from the one used by Textpattern.

Am I safe to assume that the Textpattern version of Textile is the best one to go with? (And if it has been updated, why hasn’t its version number been updated?)

The version included in Textpattern is always the most recent version.
I never bothered to update the version (when I worked on it), because I saw it as part of TXP instead of a separate package (it doesn’t have a separate SVN tree).
