TextPattern and Shop on same domain

We currently have our website running as HTML (for main company site) and the school shop runs as PHP using messy urls.

I want to develop the new new main site using TXP with clean URLs but when I try adding the .htaccess to the root (mlbadges.com) then everything just stops working.

Is there away around this so the domain uses the .com/schools as the messy URLs for the shop and the rest to be run using txp.

I don’t really want to change the Urls to something (schools.mlbadges.com) as we have a worldpay payment set up for verifying from the current url etc.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks
Oliver

Re: TextPattern and Shop on same domain

You should be able to have your shop in a subdirectory completly seperate from textpattern in the root directory. I’ve done this before with no problems.

Just an FYI: you have some TXP code in your shop page

<!--[if IE 6]><link href="<txp:site_url/>css/ie6.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="screen" /><![endif]-->

Re: TextPattern and Shop on same domain

Thanks Matt,

After abit more fiddling in the .htaccess file, I think Ive got it to work. All seems ok, so now I’m off to develop it.

Thanks for the heads up on the IE 6 Style
