johnstephens, your solution did it for me. Turns out I had been doing that all along but when I was rechecking my site to make sure it was functioning properly, I wasn’t doing a hard refresh and instead loading the page from cache, so no matter what I did I kept getting the wrong page.
Use CMD + R my friends!

That’s great!
Since writing the above, I’ve changed my setup a little bit— I now keep my Sites directory in my Dropbox folder, which provides instant automatic backup, versioning, and syncing. The current path is /Users/{username}/Dropbox/Sites.
