comments not being mailed to author

comments are not being mailed to the author as specified in admin>preferences. I assume the problem is with the server, can anyone give me a pointer as to what I need to setup? I’m running apache 2.2.

The vast majority of the time, missing emails are caught in the spam filtering nets of the world.

Before you start looking at code, may I suggest that you add email from several different providers and see if any get through.

(I have found that Google Apps eat a lot of generated emails from TXP and phpBB.)

Check the mailserver logs to see if the mail was handed over to the mailserver at all en if so, why it wasn’t processed correctly
