Did you try to install the compressed (gzipped) version or the normal non compressed? If you didn’t, then try the compressed. As it sounds that the code is being cut.

Re: gbp_permanent_links

Is there a manual for this plugin somewhere that I seem to be overlooking? Trying to figure it out by looking through a disjointed 46-page thread is far from productive. I find the interface to be somewhat counterintuitive. Still no responses to my original post after over a week, so I will have to figure it out by myself.

Re: gbp_permanent_links

I’m having another problem, basically I have set a rule for my blog section whereby the url would be /year/month/title/ for ONLY the blog section. If you look here http://driz.co.uk/blog/ you will see that all the articles have that URL scheme. The problem however is that when I try and view the posts it will break, first of all it will show the home page instead, second display the home page title, and finally kick off about using article tags. So for example the post is http://driz.co.uk/2009/05/roman-numeral-copyright/

If i add the /section/ to the URL it will work fine, sooooo I’m guessing the plugin gets confused if it doesn’t have the section part on it. How do I fix this? Thank you.

EDIT: I’ve turned debugging on to help with the issue.

Re: gbp_permanent_links

Is this a bug in the plugin or something else?

P.S. post_max_size = 8M and upload_max_filesize = 10M seem fairly enough for a 80k plugin but it always gets truncated upon upload.

I think this is due to how PHP handles uploads and believe wet has recently fixed this although I haven’t tested it (r3131)

I think the problem is that column “code” in “txp_plugin” table has type “text”, which is limited to 65k.

Re: gbp_permanent_links

I get this error when i install the patch.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/vmchoirs/public_html/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php(574) : eval()'d code on line 1905 The above errors were caused by the plugin:gbp_permanent_links

Any idea where I went wrong. your plug in was working fine before this patch.

Re: gbp_permanent_links

Yannis, I’ve heard in the German section that the minified version can be installed on a MAMP 1.7.2
Two options to check :)

Re: gbp_permanent_links

Hi uli,
thanks. the minified version does indeed work without any problems. This is the first time i downloaded the plugin as I am experimenting with a redesign of our site.

Re: gbp_permanent_links

Which version were you trying? The compressed version should still be a similar size as to what it was before and install on most server setups. The minified version was only meant for some rare cases – yes it’s good that’s it working for you but I thinking something else might be going wrong here.

I shall recheck when I’m infront of my computer next.

Re: gbp_permanent_links

Hi Graeme,

It is the compressed version which caused the error.
