Re: smd_slimbox

Yo! I get this message when trying to implement this script on my page;

Tag error: <txp:smd_slimbox_inc jsdir=”/js” cssdir=”/css” /> -> Textpattern Warning: tag does not exist on line 1104

Is the tag outdated, or what is wrong?

Re: smd_slimbox

Did you activate pluging after installation? Did you install (and activated) both smd_slimbox and smd_lib ?

Yes. That tag has been removed. The docs explain how to use the plugin.

Your stylesheet line is using ‘curly quotes’:

<link rel=“stylesheet” type=“text/css” href="<txp:site_url />se/css/slimbox.css" />

It should be using ‘straight quotes’:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="<txp:site_url />se/css/slimbox.css" />

depends on the program, not the platform. :)

TextWrangler is a fine freeware text editor for Mac OS X. (requires OS X 10.4 or later). Won’t curl your quotes unless you tell it to.

of course “ depends on the program “ , usually with perfect TextEdit software from Apple,
typing automatic in « french curly » and “ international curly ” not easier to think to type “ “

wow, TextWrangler, too many options, « really freeware » ? simply « Skip Registration ? »

thanks

From the TextWrangler download page:

TextWrangler is fully featured and functional—it will not expire. It’s free (as in beer). Enjoy!

Skip registration if you like; it makes no difference.

Re: smd_slimbox

Edit: I already found my solution! With a little searching on Textpattern Resources I found this plug-in titled ckr_image_count that does exactly what I needed.

Hi!

I was just wondering if there was some way to only proceed with the slimbox image if the image category has more than one image.

Essentially, I’m helping to build a news website for a friend who works for a high school as a journalism teacher. On an individual article’s page, I have the main image and caption that’s linked with the article shown beside the body of the story. If there is only one image, it would be kinda redundant to be able to click on the image and have the slimbox pop up showing only that one image. However, if there is say three or four pictures in a certain category I want the slimbox effect to proceed.

I know, confusing. I’ve never programmed in PHP, but all I really need to know if there is some basic code either in smd_slimbox or in txp itself that says something to the tune of:

if image_num > 1
  *display slimbox*
else
  *display article image*

Sorry if that’s too confusing!
