jps_img_selector anyone?

Hi,

did anyone try Article Image Selector: jps_img_selector ?

I installed and activate it and I don’t see nothing new in my edit window… maybe I’m missing something?

TIA

Re: jps_img_selector anyone?

I did try it actually – it produced a pulldown menu where the article image field is on the Write page, but the thumbnail preview feature didn’t work for me, so it wasn’t too useful. You might try jmd_image_selector? http://jmdeldin.com/

Re: jps_img_selector anyone?

Thanx, Nora… now I see it…

I hadn’t seen it before because the image field was alread filled and, in that case, it doesn’t show anything.

I don’t see the thumbnail either.

I just installed jmd_image_selector and they both seem to work identically…

When I have some time, I’ll decode both and see what are they doing differently (or equal).

Regards.

They shouldn’t be – jps_img_selector uses a drop-down, jmd_img_selector uses a modal window for selection (screenshot). Also, 1.0b2 is the version you want (forum thread).

Re: jps_img_selector anyone?

Oh, now I see… actually jps_img_selector was being cached in my browser although I had deactivated it…

Maybe you should link the new version of jps_img_selector in your home page…

Now my problem is that I can’t seem to find where did dreamhost moved the thingie to switch to PHP5 (I had set the domain some time ago and it was with PHP4, and now I can’t find the switch)…

Anyway, I’ll try your plugin as soon as I enable PHP5.

btw, I’m using jmd_sitemap also.

Thanx for sharing your work, Jon-Michael.

And now I find that if I generate the CSS in the extension tab, then the thingie actually works… I have to start RTFM

Cool selector… I’m keeping it.

Thanx again, jm.

I didn’t write jps_img_selector, but I’ve been needing to update my plugin index for awhile (most of those links are bad). I’m glad jmd_img_selector is working for you though.
