Cheshire Upholstery
First phase of a website for a new company specialising in furniture reupholstery and repair, with some SEO work and an online store to be added soon…

Re: Cheshire Upholstery
Nice start… I’d blend those tabs in a little more by making them less contrasty against the gray background. Right now the bright gradient looks a little out of place.

Re: Cheshire Upholstery
Thanks again mrdale, probably look at the tabs again for the next phase, wasn’t too thrilled with them myself but they’re probably good enough for now.

Hi Kevin,
Don’t know if this is worth noting but there are some funny, very long URLs on the 6 easy steps bit:
http://www.cheshireupholstery.com/about-reupholstery/six-steps#http://www.cheshireupholstery.com/images/10.jpg
And sorry, don’t have a fix either…

I’ve seen that before with Galleria. It’s how it provides the ability to bookmark the page with that image selected. If you don’t want that functionality you can set history: false
Piwik Dashboard, Google Analytics Dashboard, Minibar, Article Image Colorpicker, Admin Datepicker, Admin Google Map, Admin Colorpicker

Thanks for pointing it out gavnosis. That’s correct MattD, will probably switch it off as I cannot see much point. Did that with this one
The big problem I’ve found with Galleria (or rather JQuery? Cos I’ve had similar problems before) is that apparently Webkit based browsers try to load the page so fast that the JS fires before the thumbnails are loaded and processed, so some don’t get sized or centred properly by Galleria. It works fine if you let JS do the work on the main images for some reason rather than the thumbnails, but that was no good in this instance.
There will be a fair bit of work going into the next phase, so I’ll tackle it again (probably use an alternative method of displaying those panels) when I start on that.

Re: Cheshire Upholstery
Hey Kevin, site looks good – like the navigation a lot, jquery plugin?
managed to get that small photography site in the end here. Very small and simple, she was dead set on minimal, but really happy so worthwhile. Hopefully catch up soon.

Re: Cheshire Upholstery
Ayup Mark, thanks for the comment!
That’s a very tidy site, good work mate. Jquery’s only in there for Galleria not the navigation, but it’s probably familiar ;-)
All change at Kudos eh?
