Premiere One Landscapes

This is an example of the old: http://bit.ly/polb4
And this is the new, running on Txp 4.0.8: http://premiereonelandscapes.com

I added a txp_urltitle function to taghandlers.php [EDIT: see maniqui’s note below], and employed aam_typogrify, chh_if_data, hpw_admincss, ob1_title, wet_slimpattern, and zem_contact_reborn.

The image galleries are via SlideShow Pro, with the excellent SlideShow Pro Director backend CMS allowing the client full control over the galleries without ever having to touch Flash.

Re: Premiere One Landscapes

Nice, I like it!

One minor thing: the news urls are pointing to http://premiereonelandscapes.dreamhosters.com/news/new-maintenance-services.

I added a txp_urltitle function to taghandlers.php

What do you mean? txp:article_url_title (here)?

I can’t believe I’ve missed that – I’ve been working with Txp since before 1.17.

Also fixed the news item url thing. Thanks for that catch.

Re: Premiere One Landscapes

Good work! I like the color scheme and layout!

The only suggestion i’d note – was that intended to work so: on the home page when hovering over menu items the part of the “shadow” is seen to the right of the flash block.. looks a bit strange imo.

Re: Premiere One Landscapes

Brilliant-looking site, striking!

One thing I might mention is that your SEO could be hurt by having all the juicy keywords as graphics in the header (pet peeve).

Again, original and appealing work. Kudos.

Re: Premiere One Landscapes

@linkingarts Thanks for the kind words. As far as SEO goes, that’s why I used CSS to display background images for those navigation items in the header – take away the CSS and you’ve got plain ol’ SE-friendly bulleted lists for navigation. Does this method still cause problems, in your experience?

simmerdesign > Sorry, but I like the old one better, more colors…

KIDDING! Excellent work. Tasteful, succinct, easy to navigate. Compelling.

You could achieve the gallery through js and images loaded through the textpattern admin with the new (or old) version of slideshow. (using it here and here But the flash solution is just as good (or better) if you’re not alergic to flash.

Very nice!

Re: Premiere One Landscapes

Great, very nice looking site!
The only criticism I have is that the nav buttons for the flash don’t align with the items on the left below the fold.
