Re: TxP.com home page
Any news on the redesign yet? Or did Squaredeye became Closedeye ;)
However, this thread was started 1 year ago. 10 month ago matthew stepped in to overtake the job …. so many have contributed good ideas, time and effort… it would be fair by matthew to either present something soon or pass the project over to other designers (not talking of me here) this Lack of Momentum should be overcome and a milestone would be a 21st century website for TXP.

Re: TxP.com home page
Matthew delivered. I saw the final designs and they were awesome, with capital A. That’s what I meant in post #338 when I said “and it was big.”
The question since then has been who’s been doing the integration? I thought like 4 or 5 people had volunteered for that. Some folks around here create/launch Txp sites in a single day (not me, but I’ve seen it said). Three months should be more than enough time to get somewhere. I mean it’s a pretty simple site map, after all.
A few words on the progress at least would be thoughtful to the community.

How do you know what you saw was final?

Re: TxP.com home page
Well, if they were not final, they should have been because it couldn’t get much better than what I saw. Matthew knew I wanted to match wiki navigation design with .com so he let me see his final mocks. I’ve just been waiting for .com to launch before going ahead with it.
(Also wanted to get community confirmation that we should change the wiki’s main nav design at this point, but only after they see what it would be going to.)
@Dale: I guess wet would be the one to address that question.

Re: TxP.com home page
Mmmm. So I’ll just put everyone in the picture then.
The new textpattern.com design was almost complete. Some minor details to bring it exactly into line with Matthew’s original design like font-sizes, spacing, that kind of thing.
Then along came the new logo. This requires a re-design to the header which Matthew is working on right this moment, plus we need a new look for the sub-menu which he is also working on.
There has been a bit of a delay due to Matthew attending the odd conference and being particularly busy right now. He does this sort of thing for a living don’t you know.
So basically I’m waiting for the new designs and as soon as I get them I will be coding away like mad to get them up and running.
As for a time-line for it all to go “live”, I can’t really say but I’m thinking that maybe it should coincide with a new TXP release, but that is purely my own thought. Whatever happens we certainly won’t be rushing it. It’s important. It needs to be “right”.
Thank you for all offers of help but at this point we have all we need.
