Weird blank page cache issue
Hi I’ve just got my site up and running on this access domain here
On my network all pages display correctly, but as soon as I tried it on the school’s network I had problems.
If I view a page for the first time (uncached) everything displays as you would expect.
If I go back to the page any time after that (cached) I just get a blank white screen appear. To get the correct page to display I have to click the browser’s refresh button. I guess this is forcing the browser to request a new version from the server.
The school uses IE7 and the network is a little slow, but I’m not aware of them having problems with other sites.
Is this a known issue with Textpattern?
I’d be grateful to anyone who could test the site and let me know if you experience the same problem.
Many thanks,
Duncan

All your pages display fine in my Firefox 3.0.10, Opera 9.63 and Konqueror 3.5.10 (all on Linux).

Thanks Els. That’s good to know, but doesn’t improve my confidence! Anyone else please?

Kushman
Did you try the Send “Last-Modified” header option in admin > prefs > advanced prefs
and seeing if that makes a difference from your school’s network?

No and that sounds promising! I can’t test that right away but I’ll get report back on that one tomorrow. Thanks Net-Carver.

Re: Weird blank page cache issue
Ok I tried the “Last-Modified” header option and I’m told it works perfectly now!
Thanks net-carver, I doubt I would have found that alone.
