Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

For your second question I suggest to have look directly in the tinymce website.

redbot, the weird thing is that I can see that styles are being applied in the editor window, however, when I use the link edit popup, there are no styles available in the Styles drop-down menu. I looked on the tinymce site, and found that there were people with similar issues, and the solution seemed to be to either move the css file into the tiny_mce directory, or to make an absolute link to the file. Neither of these seemed to work for me, so I was hoping that somebody could offer me some insight.

Currently, I’m set up like this…

In the hak_tinymce Preferences I have:

content_css: “http://staging.computrols.com/textpattern/tiny_mce/themes/advanced/css/tinymce-editor.css?” + new Date().getTime(),

And in my CSS file I have the following entry:

.glossary { color: red; }

I know that the editor is obeying this CSS file because I can change the body font to red, and the editor reacts. However, I don’t see a “glossary” style in the edit link drop down.

Thanks!

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

What happens if you enable classes in theme_advanced_styles ?

I’ve never really looked into this so I’m not super sure what makes it work or not.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

It seems the add a link button doesn’t like Google Chrome.

Any news on an update or fix?

Thanks.

Have you tried adding the tagname before the class? Like “p.glossary”.
Not sure if it works, but I use a plugin called bramus_cssextras, which enables you to assign classes to paragraphs, lists, strong’s etc., and this plugin requires the content_css stylesheet to include tagnames in the selectors.

Maybe it works analogous… give it a try!

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

hakjoon:

I have been using TXP for 4 plus years, but never had the need for a wysiwyg editor for any of my projects … until now : ) … can you please let me know of any big “heads up” I should have before trying to integrate it into this new project … for example, I believe at one point you could not use this editor if working on a MAC. Is that still a limitation?

For this project, I need to give the client extreme editing flexability …

Alos, a couple of months ago you had mentioned possibly having this plug in upgraded … just wondering if you had an ETA for that …

Thanks.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

This plugin works fine with mac, been using it for years… You have a great deal of flexibility, and can even edit directly in HTML.

Side Note

Mr.joon is probably going to be scarce for a while, as he’s playing with his new toy; a brand new baby girl. Congrats hak!

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

I’ve updated Hakjoon’s plugin based on the latest stable version of TinyMCE (3.2.4.1). It’s now fully working on TXP 4.0.8.
Please let me know if anyone is interested…

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor

First I have to pack all files together and create a plugin.txt. Expect the download later today…
