Upgrade Question
I notice when upgrading from 4.07 to 4.08 the placement of the .ht access and index.php files in the main textpattern directory. I have the index.php file there but not the .ht access file in my 4.07. Will this present any problem when placing the .ht access file there? Thank you.

Re: Upgrade Question
The .htaccess file should be in the root directory of your site, in other words in the same place as the files, images and rpc folders. There is an index.php file in both the root directory and inside the textpattern folder but they are different files. So if you are looking in the root directory of your site you should see:-
files (folder)
images (folder)
rpc (folder)
textpattern (folder)
.htaccess (file)
index.php (file)

Re: Upgrade Question
Thank you. I didn’t realize the .ht access file can sometimes remain hidden which is why I think I didn’t notice it in the root directory. Thanx again.

Re: Upgrade Question
Yes I forgot the .htaccess can be hidden. I use FileZilla for FTP and there is an option in the settings to display these files. I imagine this would apply to most if not all FTP clients.
