I’ve found a Technorati service which converts hCard information to the vCard format and downloads it – you just need to add http://feeds.technorati.com/contacts/http://yoururl.com/page to the page containing your marked-up contact details.
For example:
<a href="http://feeds.technorati.com/contacts/http://www.yoururl.com/page"<img src="/images/icon" alt="Click to download my vCard" />Download my vCard</a>
Hope that’s helpfully for anyone with the same query.
