Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_image_edit v1.0
Most likely late May to early June. Adding the ability to restrict crop area by ratio/size isn’t a critical need. If there are any bugs, I’ll attempt to place my emphasis on that. Most people can figure out exactly what size they want the crop area to be and create it themselves without asking the program to do it for them. E.g., if the user wants a box restricted to an area of 300 by 400 pixels, they can drag out the box to exactly that size (it does show the dimensions in pixels) and then move it around to the region that they want.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_image_edit v1.0
ok thanks!
if it’s not a problem and you like to,
I will love if you can make an admin side in the extensions tab
and there we will be able to create a list of custom sizes and name each of them.
for example:
1. news (100×80)
2. biography (200×150)
3. gallery (80×80)
…
and in the client side to place a select box
that will show only the names of the custom sizes list
and when you select a name it will change the value of the width&height crop properties
this will be the most easy way for a client to choose what to crop for.
don’t know how much work and hard and if it’s possible,
but if you can and want to it will be the best ;)

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ebl_image_edit v1.0
Hi Eric,
the idea of THE BLUE DRAGON seems very interesting to me too!
I have a lot of clients (and their contributors, writers …) who need an easy and intuitive way to get their images to design-dependent standard sizes. They won’t need to remember what size it was I recommended or pin a sheet of paper at their screens/monitors (which they won’t anyway, but ask me instead again and again ;-) ). It would add a (another) galaxy of comfort to them and to me!
@THE BLUE DRAGON
Thanks! Very good idea!

The above wouldn’t be hard to implement. I’ll see what I can do in the next week or so.

Done. That feature is now implemented. I’m going to test it a bit more before release, but expect it to be released sometime this week.
I might have another surprise feature implemented if I find the motivation.

Awesome.
I’ve localized my images folder in immagini: could be a problem?

Maybe this can be used for a watermark feature?
(Save the original to the images/backup folder and somehow protect this folder from public?)
I know a lot of people here are interested in watermarking.
It would be a welcome feature in your wonderful plugin.
