Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

hi,

I found it:
<txp:zem_event_date /> – <txp:zem_event_date field=“repeat_to” wraptag=”“ />.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

Hi Firefusion,

thanks again for your wake up call. Checked my mails and realized that about 4 months have passed since I did something reagarding zem_event_reloaded. I beg all people here for pardon. It was fun to start it, but somehow I got stuck in other things and simply lost track of the whole thing. I’m sorry, I mean it!

OK, here is the deal.

I’ll read all new posts since october, the check the latest revision on my hard disk and then set the project site officially online (I also have to check up if something happended with the original code…).

What I’ll need is a helping hand reagarding documentation and some fearless early adopters. People with some php skills and good ideas are also welcomed.

Regards,

pepebe

pepebe

Just a heads-up that smd_calendar has been released in the interim and there is a little bit of overlap between the two plugins. If you want a hand with this plugin (test/code) let me know, or if you fancy stealing some code from smd_calendar, feel free.

Also, one cry for help if I may be so bold: during redevelopment of zem_event, if you happen to come across any fixes for the date/time/DST/timezone thing that I can use then I would be eternally grateful. It’s making my head hurt :-\ Many thanks in advance.

@Bloke

  1. This is one hell of a fine problem description. I’m not a native speaker, but I could understand your problem without reading your post twice…
  2. Mindboggling stuff. The way txp works with dates can be confusing from time to time. I’ll set this topic on my list and let you know as soon as I’m getting serious about it.
  3. smd calendar sounds to good to be true. No tables are harmed? You must be kidding. I’ll have a look at your baby and let you know if I want to “borrow” some of it…

Did anyone event find a way to make the calendar start on a Monday instead of Sunday?

Thanks.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

I know all the action’s over at smd_calendar, but I’ve got a client still using zem_calendar and am hoping some of you are still around. A couple of previous posters have mentioned problems with links not showing up in the mini-calendar even when the event is listed alongside the correct month. I couldn’t find if this was ever addressed. On my client’s site, some events show links in the mini-calendar and others don’t and I see no difference between how the events are set up. I even repaired tables to no effect.

Any ideas?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

I’ve got quiet a few sites still running zem_event.

I’m assuming zem event reborn has been abandoned? Are you stll working on it pepebe?

Does anyone have just a patch to make zem_event work with 4.2.0?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] zem_event [flexible integrated event management]

Hi – sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but by trial and error I managed to get it back working on 4.4.0 by simply commenting out a little of the code near the bottom of the plugin, as follows:

	// if (zem_txp_ver('4.1.0')) {
		# 4.1.x category type
		// include_element('include/txp_category');
		// register_category_type('event');
	// }
	// else {
		# 4.0.x category tab code
		add_privs('zem_event_cats', '1,2,3,4,5');
		register_tab('content', 'zem_event_cats', zem_event_gTxt('event_categories'));
		register_callback('zem_event_cat_tab', 'zem_event_cats');
	// }
