Date picker for posted and expired date

Now we have JQuery there are lots of good date pickers our there. I think it would make a big difference.

Re: Date picker for posted and expired date

Ideal plugin territory, imo. No point forcing one particular date picker on us all, when there are so many to choose from and not everyone wants one in the first place!

Take a look at/chat to progre55 and jm/jakob as they’re doing work in this arena.

This would be a big help especially when creating events based articles. The yyyy mm dd format is the ISO 8601 standard but speaking personally in practice I’ve always found it a counter-intuitive speedbump as I’m conditioned (like I guess many others are) to the dd mm yyyy format. A date picker might solve this nicely.

We have looked into jQuery UI but consider it a bit heayweight to distribute it as a mandatory part of the core.

I’m with Stef and Robert: A plugin would be the better solution.
