Offline building/testing on local machine

I’d like to “install” textpattern on my home computer so that I can build and test my website before putting it live online. I don’t have regular access to the internet (I live in a very remote location, and can only get online every few days), but I’d like to be able to work on my sites from my computer and then upload them when I get them working properly.

Is there a way to do this? Do I just install Textpattern to its own local directory, or do I have to enable anything? I use Adobe Dreamweaver for the html coding, so is there anything in there that I’d need to enable to make it work right?

Thanks!

You’ll need a LAMP (Linux) or MAMP (Windows) setup wich would include Apache, PHP and MySql.

My Plugins

Piwik Dashboard, Google Analytics Dashboard, Minibar, Article Image Colorpicker, Admin Datepicker, Admin Google Map, Admin Colorpicker
