Google search results for TXP websites
Hi everyone!
When I type out a particular keyword for an article I just posted, it turns up on Google (on the second page). The only problem is, is that accompanying snippet of info by Google is the generic meta description for the whole site. I was hoping to make it like other websites, where Google will make the relevant keywords bold, as well as the title.
So far Google does a great job with highlighting the title of the post, but I would want the searcher to see an excerpt of the post too, not just generic meta description on the website.
Can someone help shed some light on this for me or point me in the right direction please?
Amy

Two more tips: Search meta description on txptips. Old tips & code examples by me which work very well. Don’t forget to check the comments on the linked to performancing.com pages.

Re: Google search results for TXP websites
Thanks Merz for the tip!
In case anyone wants to know, I used rah_meta plugin which did the trick very nicely. Then I also followed up with rah_sitemap and submitted my site to google. :)
