Re: [Archived] bit_rss

For some reason <txp:permlink /> takes the title of the post, dir-ifies it, and tries to attach it to the existing sites url scheme. There is almost 0% chance that this url scheme will ever work correctly. Why would you pull in a feed that links to your existing site?

Is there a reason why <txp:permlink /> doesn’t use the feeds permalink or link value for the actual posting?

Is there something I’m doing wrong? I’m confused.

I’ve tried all of the other feed solutions and I’ve found that this plugin is the most powerful. However, the <txp:permlink /> thing in a deal breaker.

Re: [Archived] bit_rss

Hi,

One way is for you to install a random plugin, and then “edit” it, and paste-in the bit_rss source code and then save…

Not the best way to do it, but that would be your quick and dirty fix.

Do you also need the docs for this plug?

Re: [Archived] bit_rss

mhulse: It seems that is “bit_rss v0.2” and not “bit_rss v0.4.1” as stated on page numer one in this thread.

You also posted a source code but I cannot figure out which version that is… Do you know?

Does anyone at least have the latest source installed that you can share?

Re: [Archived] bit_rss

Looks like it is .2 or whatever… Sorry that I do not have the latest version to post.

Cheers,

Re: [Archived] bit_rss

Hi, thanks for all answer. But I have found a better way to show RSS feeds in your web: http://simplepie.org/wiki/plugins/textpattern/simplepie_plugin_for_textpattern
