How to rename /category URLs?

Hi,
I’m a new user for Textpattern, and I’m setting up my site for the first time.

Is there a way I can change the category URLs, so rather than mysite.com/category/foo, I can have for example mysite.com/groups/foo ?

I couldn’t find much info on it. I found one page suggesting I might be able to use the localization tables for it, but it didn’t really go into enough detail for me to figure it out.
