Re: [request] Alternate Search Behavior
Thanks for the pointer to pastebin – I had not known of it. Really neat!
Here’s the link: txp_enhanced_search_patch_4_0_7
Edit: Updated pastebin with new version of patch which keeps the new hidden field inside the wraptag.

I am really interested in this search functionality.
As above link is dead, does anybody know where I can find this patch?
Thanks,
kostas

Wow, you would think there would be more interest in this kind of functionality. I just came across this thread, and I’m also very interested in getting ahold of this patch (4.2 compatible?).
EDIT: Ah, here we go
Working fine on 4.2. Seems to be slowing down the site though, could be a temporary server issue though, will post back if this continues.

Re: [request] Alternate Search Behavior
Yes, this is the kind of thing you would think would be incorporated by default. I can’t imagine why it has not.
BTW, the perceived slowness I was experiencing earlier has ceased, likely it was a temporary web server issue.Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like this patch is working well with wet_haystack, as the additional values I was searching with that plugin aren’t matching when I search for two words. Kind of a bummer, this patch is still a nice option though compared to using the default search.
Any chance to get this any / all search behavior to work with wet_haystack?

Re: [request] Alternate Search Behavior
Anyone know how to add the article excerpt and article keywords to the list of fields that are searched by default? I’d like the search results to show articles with a matching query in any of the title, body, excerpt or keywords fields.
I’m using version 4.0.8 and have tried playing with lines 32-36 in /publish/search.ph and line 630 in publish.php but no luck.
Any tips?

Thanks wet, I’ll make the step up to 4.2.0 and give it a go.
