Errors after changing TXP folder name

Hi,
Followed this wiki:
Making the Textpattern Installation More Secure

I’ve changed the ‘textpattern’ folder to ‘myadmin’ and although the instructions for swapping out the old folder name are incorrect in places on this wiki, I have managed to find all instances to make sure that the new folder name is used.

Now I get an error on the admin page refering to setup:

Warning: include(/home/#/root/myadmin/setup/index.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/#/root/myadmin/index.php on line 29

Why is it asking for a setup file when I already have TXP installed? Any ideas?

Cheers
Mike

Re: Errors after changing TXP folder name

That’s an outdated page. The most recent one is here

The most important part is:

Many Txp users, including the Txp developers themselves, contend that a default install of Textpattern is secure enough, provided your username/password details are wisely chosen. Add to this the fact there’s no modifications to your file tree to maintain at each upgrade, and you have a strong argument.

In other words, don’t rename the directory at least not for security reasons.

Re: Errors after changing TXP folder name

I agree with the security being fine as it is, but I just want to rename the textpattern directory to something else.
The page you referred to goes to the same one that I mentioned. Is there another?

Cheers

Re: Errors after changing TXP folder name

mfos,
Don’t know if it can help you but if you are just looking for a way to change the address for txp admin interface (for example if you need to provide an easier address for a client) you can simply do a redirect from www.yoursite/myadmin to www.yoursite/textpattern and he will not even notice the redirect.
