How did they...?

Hi!

I’m new here. Been using WP for a bit and experimented with some of the other CMS like ModX, EE, MT, Drupal and Joomla.

I love the look of this site: http://scottishmountainbikeguides.com/mountain-biking-scotland

I was just wondering how they built it. Are the links at the top ‘About’, ‘Courses’ etc. Sections?

Also would this Page be (say) ‘default’ http://scottishmountainbikeguides.com/mountain-biking-scotland
And this Page would be (say) ‘default2’ http://scottishmountainbikeguides.com/guided-holidays-scotland *

  • how are the links to the left generated, are those Categories within that Section?

Apologies for the above mess, but I’m interested to see how it is built.

Thanks,

Re: How did they...?

Looks to me like the top nav is sections and the left are articles in that section. On the section page they display the excerpt for the article.

You could ask Ben at subduedmedia. It’s his site.

Re: How did they...?

Just having a little toodle around my visitor logs, and came across this.

The links on the left handside of each page are a list of all the articles in that section listed alphabetically (it’s the same across the site), with a sticky article in each section as the section ‘landing’ page. :)

Glad you like the site!
