paperview 2009
I have I’m having a huge debate on using Gill Sans with Georgia! check here: http://paperview.org/
I personally think it works! and works well! Do you?

Gill is a great typeface, but tough to pair up… especially with a serif font. I would recommend a sans-serif like Helvetica or Verdana, Arial for you body copy. Also, I think your current main headlines in ALL CAPS could be toned down a bit by using lower case, or just reducing the point size by half. Hope that helps you out!

I like Gill. It has a lot of potential when used correctly (www.gapersblock.com or www.coudal.com). The one downside is most PC’s won’t have it installed (if I’m not mistaken it’s only a system font on Macs). Therefore, you better make sure your secondary selection looks good too.
I think you’re making good use of it, though some of your sub heads (in the spotlight, expose) are a bit loud and detract from the main content. Keep up the good work.

Re: paperview 2009
After Bloke generously linked me up to the Engravers Gothic font, I’ve decided to use it as the main header font on my design zine, what do you think? It uses CSS3’s @font-face to display it, so you will need Firefox or Safari.
Thoughts? x

Unless the font is also installed on the visitors computer they’ll see whatever alternatives you’ve specified in your CSS – has worked that way for about a decade.

Nope! I’m using CSS3’s @font-face which allows me to link up to a font on a server, and let the user use it, without ever downloading it!

And it will take a few years until the mainstream catches up with that ;-)

Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Chrome will all support @Font-face! Plus IE supported it since version 5 but only .eot NOT .ttf or .otf
So I’d say its very mainstream. x
