change login

hello, is it possible to change one’s login? its the login name itself i want to change, not the “real name”… it would be nice if textpattern could still know that it’s me that have written articles, but with a different name..

Re: change login

you could create a new login then select all your articles, then select, change the author, to the new login then delete the old login

Re: change login

What darinlang said is an option. If you want to save yourself that bother, you could manually change that in the mysql database. If you have access to it, change the “name” field of your user in the txp_users table. That should then show everywhere else. If you have anything in your installation that depends on certain user names, you’ll need to revisit them too.

Re: change login

The login name is also used in the textpattern table’s columns AuthorID and LastModID.
