FLV player questions?

OK – so I want to use a flv player and upload all my flv’s into textpattern and call them via a drop down, or link on the same page as the player – so they load in the same flv player and the page doesn’t reload.

If you didn’t already know – I have no idea what I am talking about here.

I’m looking for something similar to what Youtube does, but not quite :)

Has anyone done anything similar before with or without textpattern (I haven’t)?

Re: FLV player questions?

yes you can use JW FLV Media Player to do that
here is an example of how to have a html-playlist links that will load your videos from xml file/txp page without reload the page
I done it in this site
the bottom player – click on “+SELECT” to see the playlist links (yes it’s mp3 but it the same way as flv)

but remember that people will can not post comments on your videos!
if you do want people to be able to post comments you will need to make an article for each video
I done it in this site

and if you just need a regular player with a playlist on the right side or below

Re: FLV player questions?

Just a question, if your using the JW FLV player via a plugin on a commercial site, you would need to purchase the JW license?

Yes. But it is not very expensive.

Re: FLV player questions?

That’s what I thought – I’m unsure most people using a plugin know that!
