Have you used jCrop before? It’s similar in function to the photoshop crop tool. The aspect area can be forced to be square, or not. By selecting the area you want to crop, you decide how large/small you want it to be.

yes I know I can stretch it however I want, but how I can decide what size the thumbnail-result will be?
in photoshop for example you point it to be 10×10, and however you stretch the croping-square the result will be 10×10

When you select the crop area for the original area, the area you select will be the new image. It won’t be resized.
When you select the area for the thumbnail, it will be resized, longest side first, to fit a box size you select.

so it doesn’t make a real crop of a specific size that I set like in photoshop,
it’s just cut a piece of it with no real good way to control the size, right?
what I’m searching for is that the plugin will work like in this demo pege of Jcrop
like in this demo you can see the image will be resized to 100×100
now I need 2 input fields to be able to change the 100×100 to whatever size I want

Again : When you select the area for the thumbnail, it will be resized, longest side first, to fit a box size you select. The workflow follows in exactly the same manner a it does within photoshop. 1. Select Crop region, 2. resize to size, 3. process.
The interaction model I’m envision for cropping thumbnails is not complicated. It’s simple.- Select area to be cropped
- Input thumbnail size
- Click thumbnail

Cropping now works as it should. Thumbnailing and Resizing next. I estimate it will be ready by Friday.

I’m done. After a bit more testing, I’ll prepare it for release and post details in he plugin forum.
This release will offer :- Image Cropping
- Thumbnail creation
- Image Rotate (Clockwise / Counter Clockwise / 180)
- Image Resizing
This initial version will not be MLP compatible until the next release.
