update current site to textpattern - newbie advice

Hi everyone,

I have been monitoring textpattern and feel its time to update a site built for a friend. The current site is http://www.nest-life.com this site will not change in style but will allow my friend to update when she needs to.

My only concern is that the gallery section uses both lightview.js to access a flash slideshow (iframe) using slideshowpro. How easy is this to implement into textpattern when converting the site?

Can textpattern run on any servers (current hosts use apache).

any help for starting out would be really helpfull

Thanks

lister

I’ve never used it myself but lee, our resident slideshowpro guru, says it’s pretty easy to do. There are no shortage of flash and gallery plugins too :-)

Apache is definitely supported. I would guess IIS is supported (if you’re a Microsoft fan). And it’ll run on local packages like MAMP and XAMPP for testing just fine.

Hope that helps.
