Re: Help us test release candidate 2 (!) for the upcoming 4.0.8 release

One thing I noticed because of my problem editing thumbnails (see other thread, not related!), is that when Txp cannot edit the thumbnail, it throws a warning but still says ‘thumbnail xxx saved’. Don’t know if this also happened before 4.0.8.
Edit: just checked, ditto in 4.0.7.

Re: Help us test release candidate 2 (!) for the upcoming 4.0.8 release

This recent adventure is the first time I’ve used it in ages, I’d sooner see it gone – maybe I won’t forget that it lopped the head off my last CSS file the last time I tried it.

It was one of the first things removed in the xPattern branch. The CSS code editor is absolute garbage.

Probably not wise to just nuke it (or any feature) without warning (I agree with getting rid of it), and in a release candidate. If somebody does indeed use it, they’d get a nasty shock. Slate it for removal in the next release.

Re: Help us test release candidate 2 (!) for the upcoming 4.0.8 release

Don’t know if I’m doing something stupid (very likely) but I’m esperiencing some strange behaviour.

Maybe someone wants to test for this:
in a clean txp install add a new section (i.e. ‘test’).
Now browse to the “articles” section and see the output of the <txp:section /> tag at the top of the page.
In my case it is not the actual section but the new section I added earlier (‘test’).

Can someone confirm this?

edit: I’m using v 4.07

No it doesn’t. We’re not talking about editing the CSS in a textarea here, because that obviously stays, but on the left side there’s a link “edit in css editor”, which leads to the ugly thing discussed here ;)

And of course we won’t remove it in 4.0.8 :)

Try TXP 4.0.8 RC2, this should be fixed.

Re: Help us test release candidate 2 (!) for the upcoming 4.0.8 release

Any ideas on when this might get released? I have a couple of customers who want upgrading and I keep trying to put them off by telling them 4.0.8 will be out soon.
