About page

I did the standard installation with no problems. I want to put some information in the about page. I figured out I need to create a posting with ‘about’ as the title. However is there a way to have this posting without my username tagged at the end and the time tagged as well? It also throws in a nifty little comma after every post.

Re: About page

The “About” link you see in a default install is actually to a section, not a single article. So a logical way to start would be to write an article in the Content->Write tab, call it “About Something”, and assign it to the About section. You could call the article anything; it doesn’t have to have “About” in the title to appear in the “About” section.

The little comma comes from the default article form (Presentation->Forms). Not the cleverest article form… it is expecting that every article will have two categories assigned.

Article forms are where you control which elements get outputted with each article. You can set up a variety of article forms and pick among them based on section, on a per-article basis, and according to various other conditions.
