Hiding a section from write tab drop down

I need/want to remove a section from the write tab drop down – is this possible?

Re: Hiding a section from write tab drop down

Thanks maniqui – I was already using that, but couldn’t seem to get it to work… until I went to NetCarvers site and found this line in the write up:

Users with Publisher status will always see all of the sections on the Write tab so they can get to fix any problems that might arise

And I thought it was broken :)

I might be misunderstanding something here, but as far as I know sed_section_fields only allows you to hide the entire section drop-down, but not individual sections from its listing.

Re: Hiding a section from write tab drop down

Thanks Matt, got it.

You control that from the sections tab and I was only looking at the plugin’s prefs ;-)

Edit:

He, it get’s even more embarrassing: I was looking at the ied_hide_in_admin prefs. As I always install both plugins in tandem, they’ve merged into one for me.
