Is there a "Sort Value" for articles like the sort value for links?
I need to sort the articles in one section with an arbitrary order.
Is there something like the “Sort Value” field offered with links?
Failing that, should I use a custom field to achieve this or is there a better way?

Thanks for the reply, Matt.
The problem I’ve got is that none of the “native” variables is in the right order. I’ve just got a bunch of names of groups that have no logic to their names and the order of the ID or date, etc just don’t work. And I’m the author of all of them.

I use a custom field for those cases. (Don’t name it ‘sort’!!!)

Thanks, Els. If you do it that way, that’s a good enough reason for me to do it that way, too. Thanks for the reminder about “sort”!
