Heilman Architecture

Launched late last year: http://heilmanarch.com/

Bob Heilman, Florida architect, wanted a simple and engaging website which didn’t take itself too seriously, and allowed him to show his work.

We opted for an AJAX-driven solution (through the use of the handy dub_if_ajax plugin), with the design centred around the homepage which tells its own story every time you come back to it (which is often ;-).

We used the most-excellent jQuery javascript library for all the behaviour.

Re: Heilman Architecture

Neat effects with the jquery! I’ve gotta get on that stuff.

My only hangup is the choice of Bauhaus (I presume that’s Bauhaus). It feels a bit… retro. Maybe a clean sans-serif would mesh better.

I like your personal site BTW.

Re: Heilman Architecture

Thanks, eggnog.

It is Bauhaus – an unusual font, alright – but with a fine Modernist heritage and with a quirkiness that just fit with the thick line motif.

As least thats the way we saw it :P
