installation issue

While installing the textpattern on my server, I am getting the following error:

“Textpattern database table already exist. Can’t run setup.”

What might have gone wrong? early help appreciated.

If you ran the installation process more than once, the database was already populated, so that could have caused the error. You’d have to empty the database, you can do that using phpMyAdmin, by deleting (DROP) all tables (but don’t delete the database itself). Then try to install Txp again.

Things went well on dropping the tables. But after I logged in and clicked on “view site”, I got following message:

Error 404 – Not found

Your browser can’t find the document corresponding to the URL you typed in.

What’s messed up?
