Bug in TXP:SECTION tag?

Hi—Textpattern newbie here (4.0.7). I’ve been playing around with the short tutorial and Textpattern 101, and I seem to have discovered a bug: the TXP:SECTION tag seems to return the alphabetically last section name and section title, not the actual section I’m in.

For examples, visit this page. The section is “books”, section title “Books I’m reading”. Both appear fine in the URL, the breadcrumb I put in for testing, and the page title, but the section title is “Whines”, the title of the last section in the list. Before I created the “whines” section, the TXP:SECTION tag returned “test” or “‘Test’ section title” depending on whether I had set title=“1”.

I’ve checked the FAQ and the Textbook and have not seen any mention of this apparent bug. I’d be grateful for any help!

Re: Bug in TXP:SECTION tag?

This is a known bug in Textpattern 4.0.7 which is already fixed in the release candidate for Textpattern 4.0.8. May I invite you to test the release candidate and report if it solves your problem?

Re: Bug in TXP:SECTION tag?

I upgraded to the release candidate, which solves the problem. Thanks for the quick reply! I had looked over the RC history log but I hadn’t realized that the TXP:SECTION_LIST bug fix also applied to TXP:SECTION (trying not to be too clueless a newbie!).
