Upgrade to 4.0.7 killed my site
I tried to upgrade to 4.0.7, and now I can’t access my site or Textpattern any more.

I tried totally deleting and re-installing all files, and still nothing. Just… nothing. I don’t even know where to start troubleshooting this.
Any ideas?

Weird, looks like your server is giving a 500 Internal Server Error. If you log into your server’s control panel, is there anything in the log files that might indicate why? Or if you browse around your site directory in your FTP client, is there an error.log file lying around with a recent datestamp that might help track the problem down?
Also, make sure that the .htaccess file that you uploaded is ok and not somehow corrupt. Don’t suppose you kept the previous one so you can compare it to TXP’s 4.0.7 one and see if there was anything your hoster snuck in to keep the server from barfing?

If you don’t have the previous .htaccess anymore, and the default one won’t work, try to remove .htaccess altoghether and – if you can access the admin side – switch to messy URLs. If that works at least your site will be up again, and you can work on the problem from there.

Looks like the topic starter switched to a different CMS.
