Can't login after moving site
Hi,
I created a 4.0.7 site locally using MAMP on Mac OS X and then moved it and the database to my server. I’ve updated config.php with the new paths but just get the ‘Could not login with that name/password.’ error. When I try to resend the password I get the prompt that an email has been sent, but it never shows up. To reset I drop the db and reinstall with the exported db that has the admin pass that I confirmed works.
I did the exact same procedure a few months back with 4.0.6 in a subdirectory and it works as expected.
Looking for any suggestions to help troubleshoot this problem. Thanks!

Re: Can't login after moving site
If you have Safe Mode enabled in PHP, then you can replace /textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php with this file to fix the problem with sending email.
That doesn’t explain the fact that your username/password isn’t accepted, but perhaps it leads one step in the right direction.

Re: Can't login after moving site
thanks for the help, but safe mode is enabled on my server. adding it to .htaccess gives me an internal server error. Are there error logs for textpattern? Is there a script available that would allow me to see where things are dying?

Re: Can't login after moving site
Hate to say this, but this seems awfully like the problem I’m noticing too, copying an installation of a 4.0.7 site to a different server.
I get a stage further and receive the email with the reset password, but it still isn’t accepted :-(
