Site running extremely slowly (or giving database unavailable)
My textpattern install at http://www.lehan.ca (or http://99.254.26.134/) is behaving strangely.
It’s either taking inexplicably long to load (a minute or longer), or displaying a ‘database unavailable’ message. The site will occasionally load without the CSS.
I’m also unable to login to the textpattern CMS control panel,
The Mysql database (also at http://99.254.26.134/) seems to be running fine, however when I attempt to stop the server process I get a ‘ ERROR! MySQL manager or server PID file could not be found!”
Is this textpattern related? Or do I need to reinstall Mysql on the server?

Switch TXP production status to debug mode.
If you then load your website, it’ll include debug code in the HTML source. This’ll show you where most of the time is spent. In running PHP code or in SQL queries. If the problem is MySQL, then you may want to ask the question in a more MySQL specific forum.
