Articles Not Showing Up
Hi folks,
For some reason (I don’t think I’ve changed my configuration at all), when I publish an article it doesn’t show up on my site. I have to go back and check the “Reset time to now…” checkbox and save again, and only then does it appear.
Any ideas why this might be happening? This is new behavior, and I don’t think I changed anything (although I must have?).

- What does your article tag look like?
- does the tag have a time attribute?
- check the status attribute in the tag (live by default) and on your article.

2. Nope.
3. Both are live (article is definitely live, at least according to the UI, and the tag should be defaulting to live).
Note that for 3, I save the article as live, it doesn’t show up. I change nothing else (I leave the status as-is), just check “Reset to time to now”, save again, and it appears.
Weird.

hrm, do you have dst checked in your prefs. sounds like a timezone problem?

DST is unchecked. Interesting ambiguity there, as I wasn’t sure if “Whether DST is currently active for your timezone” meant “whether your timezone observes DST” or “whether your timezone is currently observing DST”. Certainly the wording suggests the latter, but it still gave me pause.
Anyway, unchecked, and I’m pretty sure posting was working fine up until yesterday, so DST shouldn’t be the switch that flipped.

Are you sure it is not a cache issue? Make sure you’re browser isn’t serving you a cached page whilst testing the site.

@mrdale: wow, thanks for the offer! I may take you up on that, although I may just keep living with having to check that box.
@monkeyninja: yeah, good thought, but I’m pretty sure it’s not a caching issue. First thing I tried was a SHIFT+F5 in Firefox, and I just tried viewing in a completely different browser, and my latest post still didn’t show up until I resaved after checking the box.

Just closing the loop…
I ended up installing and modifying this plugin to automatically check that box when I’m creating a new article. A hack, but I kinda want that behavior anyway.
