Novice Embarassed by her own RSS Ignorance
Hi there,
I’m sorry if this is a redundant question; I did do quite a bit of searching and I still don’t seem to be able to grasp the concept.
Basically, all I want to do is have a feed that leads from my Wordpress blog into my txp journal. I tried two separate plugins (bit_rss and simplepie) and I’m sure I’m doing something wrong. What I would really love is for someone to explain, very simply, how to make these plugins work. I know how to install the plugins, but after that, I’m in the dark. Do I need to created a form? A page? Something else?
Thanks very much to anyone who helps; I’m quite embarrassed that I can’t figure this out, but I have almost no web experience.

You want to display a feed of your TXP articles in your wordpress blog?
Piwik Dashboard, Google Analytics Dashboard, Minibar, Article Image Colorpicker, Admin Datepicker, Admin Google Map, Admin Colorpicker

No, the exact opposite. A feed from Wp to TXP.

Ah, the simple pie plugin can do this. Put a line such as this where ever you want the feed to display.
<txp:feed items="5" showtitle="true"
showdesc="false" >http://link/to/your/wordpress/rss</txp:feed>
Post what problems you ran into in the Simplepie support thread

Ooh, I see. When I tried simplepie I must have done something wrong. The code you just posted, where exactly would I put it? In an article? A form?
:) Thanks so much.

I had just edited my post to give that info. I have it in a form.

I see. I know this sounds dumb, but would you explain what you’ve named the form, and what links to it?

Re: Novice Embarassed by her own RSS Ignorance
It could just as easily be in the page. Mine is just a form that I place on multiple pages. It’s a misc form not an article form.
On my default page i have <txp:output_form form="extra" />
and then in that form I have the code I mentioned earlier along with a bunch of other sidebar items.
