Image gallery automatic generation possible?
Is it possible to have an image thumbnail page similar to this one automatically generated by only uploading images in the Textpattern Images tab, without dealing with the Write tab or Articles at all? Is there a plugin for this?
In other words, I am looking for a way to output the IDs of images that are displayed in an the same way and with the same functionality as Articles.

There are a number of image gallery plug-ins to choose from. Which one you go with will depend on how you want your output to display and how complex you like your plug-ins.

I like your photo gallery site very much.
The plug in fpx_image_import plays very well with smd_gallery and permits uploading of a series of images by ftp and subsequent import to the TXP database along with the auto creation of thumbnails. It’s worth having a look at the author’s comments too because they explain the work flow associated with using it. It was a life saver to me when I had to upload 1200 or more photographs into 60 galleries on a site. In my case each gallery was delineated by the image category automatically assigned to the images during import and I defined each gallery by using a custom field to insert that into the template.
