I don’t use tiny mce – have you tried disabling that to see whether there’s a conflict?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ied_hide_in_admin version 0.1.: Hide Fields in Admin
I just remembered having a problem with this plugin a while ago. It was solved by installing sed_section_fields and the necessary sed_plugin_library v0.5
I could be imagining this, but I think at some point changes were made to both plugins to make them compatible.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ied_hide_in_admin version 0.1.: Hide Fields in Admin
It seems that this useful plugin has finally stopped working more or less. It used to be fine for me up until and including 4.0.6
Now in 4.0.8 it doesn’t have any effect on Advanced Options, Textile Help etc. It sort of still hides the category drop-downs, but the labels “Category 1” and “Category 2” are still visible.
Hiding the columns in the Categories tab still works though.
Is anyone else having better luck under 4.0.8 ?

Yes, is working for me.
Keep in mind though that it’s always been a pain to make it work – at least for me.
In my case – for example – I always had to activate and then save every single option (choose option ->save, choose another option ->save, etc.).
Notwithstanding this problems the plugin has always worked – and continues to work ok.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ied_hide_in_admin version 0.1.: Hide Fields in Admin
Hey redbot,
thanks for the heads up!
I should have also remembered my own advice – it wasn’t until I installed sed_section_fields and the lib that it came back to live although with a few glitches.
Your suggestion to enable every option, save and then make any changes and save again did the trick :-)
Much appreciated!

Is this plugin still working? If it does can someone post it here? The download link returns a 404.

Would anybody know how to hide the email-to-subscribers field set generated in the Write tab by Postmaster?

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ied_hide_in_admin version 0.1.: Hide Fields in Admin
Thanks Matt (again). I don’t know the first thing about javascript. Was hoping there was an answer along the lines of add [this code] to the plugin at line [x] or after line [some existing code]. I’m making an assumption here that this is feasible on any fieldset.

Re: [plugin] [ORPHAN] ied_hide_in_admin version 0.1.: Hide Fields in Admin
I don’t have Postmaster installed but If you look at my example
$().ready(function(){
var content='<h3 class="plain"><a href="#write_sort" id="cat_display">Category</a></h3>';
$("#write-sort").before(content);
$("#cat_display").click(function(){
toggleDisplay('write-sort');
});
#write_sort is the ID of the container I’m hideing. Since the container I’m hiding doesn’t have a Heading lines 2 and 3 add the H3 and the rest sets the onclick of that H3 to toggle the container.
